Marcos Cruz (Madrid, 1978) completed his piano and composition studies within 14 years, thus obtaining the higher degree in composition from the Atocha superior music Conservatory (Madrid) studying with maestro Anton García Abril.
From then on, he has worked as a pianist in several musicals such as Jeckyll and Hyde, Annie, La Cage aux Folles, and also as an orchestra conductor and a pianist in the musical Cabaret (Sam Mendes version).
He accompanied dancer Joaquín Cortés on his world tour of his show LIVE as a pianist, and worked as a pianist under the direction of Tricicle in the “off Broadway” musical “Forever Young”.
Also as a pianist, he has played in some concerts with several orchestras such as Symphonic Orchestra of Madrid. As well with Orquesta Nacional under the direction of several important maestros such as Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos.

The score for the “indican pictures” movie Prescience, directed by James Helsing and starring by Linda Gray and Eric Roberts. The movie was premiered in Los Angeles in 2019 and available in Amazon Prime.
He was a candidate for Goya prizes in the category of best film soundtrack for the feature film El hombre de las mariposas, directed by Maxi Valero, which brought the Málaga cinema festival to a close in 2011.
The feature film Aina by the Nigerian film-maker Olamide Maarore, opened in Los Angeles.
As a classical composer, he has opened his works in some of the most prestigious halls in Spain and also in some other countries as the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, the Real Theatre in Madrid, the Carnegie Hall in New York or the Philarmonie in Berlin.
He has worked in several orchestral arrangements as well as in several commercials.
